Bishop Verot High School
Academic Building & Cafeteria Expansion
Stage : Design
Size : 51,000 sq ft
Bishop Verot High School recognizes the unlimited potential and growth that can be found on campus. With this in mind, a collaborative and thoughtful effort put forth by the staff and design team developed the addition of a two-story academic building to further fuel academic endeavors with classrooms suited to challenge and champion students. Additionally, teachers and faculty will also be accommodated and supported in this elevated setting. Aimed towards a collegiate experience, the Academic Building consists of 27 new classrooms equipped for enriching traditional courses, engaging science studies, and stimulating arts in various mediums. Classmate interaction is encouraged in modern and comfortable gathering spaces featured throughout the building, along with a bright display area that showcases the artistical talents of the students as the school year progresses.
The cafeteria will also undergo a transformation built to fulfill the needs of students and staff alike while providing a pleasant indoor and outdoor dining experience. Improving circulation during mealtimes, maintaining the efficiency and storage of culinary supply, and cultivating a resilient environment capable of withstanding future generations are a few factors considered when designing the cafeteria expansion. Updates take place in both the kitchen and cafeteria; an open and inviting dining area with a restored floor and renewed aesthetic touches greets all upon entry.
The best interest of the Bishop Verot community, future growth and development was a hallmark throughout the design process.
